My LiL Weekend Adventure!

Look at this absolutely gorgeous day!!!
Our little adventure consisted of throwing the family including the dog, into the suburban and driving down to one of my dear friends home.
She lives just a short 7 miles from this tasty beach
on the central Oregon coast!
It was a five and a half hour drive from our house
~not too bad and well worth it.
******
This was Valentines day-I was wishing for a perfectly wonderful sunny day like this
-and I got my wish!
How cool is this? Yea I know! So just scroll down and enjoy...

I mean does it get any better then this...

Our Aussie dog Buddy even had a blast playing on the beach.
That's him with our eldest son.

We also went for a site seeing drive through the bay front.
This is the Newport bridge...

Pretty cool bridge~huh?
I don't know the people in the photo
they just happened to be in our shot.

The sky was sooo blue with the most perfect fluffy white clouds!

Crab pots...

I totally dig on the pine trees by the sea!

Ohhh yea look at that!

And many treasures were found...

Emily Jean said " I Love The Ocean!"

Buddy Dog was a very good little traveler...

This was the amazing view from our dear friends house.
We got to stay in a darling apartment at their house with this view.
Thanks Ted and Barb~You guys RoCk!

This is a photo of (from left to right)
Ted, Barb, my hubby Gene (Pop Pop), Me (Grammy), daughter Amber holding granddaughter Emily Jean, youngest son Jared and of course Buddy the dog :D
*
Our eldest son was taking this photo so he didn't make the shot.
We will get you next time Cotye! LoL!

Barb is my friend, I have mentioned before, that I grew up with.
We became best friends when we were six years old, and
Barb is a very talented girl! She plays several instruments and was even a drummer in a all girls rock band ("The California Girls")
that toured all over the world!
She was the house drummer for another band in
L.A. for many years too (Snotty Scotty and the Hankies).
Anyone who is anyone in L.A. knows who I am talking about!
She still plays Vibes and sings at events around where she lives.
Although Barb lives a much more simple life now with
her wonderful hubby Ted.
What a darling and very blessed couple they are!
*******
Barb has a very cool blog I know some of you have found
and are familiar with.
She draws an illustration (Mr. and Mrs. Slug and friends) on a napkin everyday for her husband to pop in with his lunch.
He has saved many of them and some date back three years!
The story has evolved over the years
into a very believable fun cast of characters.
I think it should be published-
It would make a ubber cool coffee table book!
So go on over to her blog and say hello.
It is a very fun little story to follow,
and what an interesting way that it has come about!
******
We are very lucky to have such wonderful and fun friends, and
we had a great time visiting them this weekend.
Barb's Mom Gail was there visiting and
I was so happy to get to spend a little time with her too!

Family+Dear Friends
+ A Sunshiny Day on the Beach=Priceless!
Thanks again Ted and Barb!
Bunches of Groovy Love~Tam!

  6. Hi Tam, sounds like you know what I'm going through. Today I actually don't have much pain. Praise the Lord! I go to the endodontist next week, so I'm ready to get this over with! I can't believe the dentist broke the drill bit off in your tooth. Ouch! I hope you get yours taken care of soon too. Kristen
